Bookings for the Skoda Octavia RS start tomorrow; official launch expected on October 17

Auto News: Skoda is launching a new model in its popular Octavia series, the Skoda Octavia RS, in India soon. Ahead of the launch, the company will open pre-bookings tomorrow. Interested customers can book it both online and through dealerships. This model will be the next addition to the Skoda Octavia N1 and Octavia N1 Pro.

Design and interior

Skoda Octavia RS is designed for style and premium look. It has a full black interior, which includes red inserts. Seats like RS Bazing and Sports Car make it more attractive. Carbon fiber trim, 13-inch central display and navigation system standard features are included. Three-spoke steering wheel, electric adjustment seats, memory function and seat cushion, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, aluminum finish paddles and LED matrix headlights make this car more luxurious. In addition, 18 and 19 inch alloy wheels and rear LED lights give it a sporty and modern look.

Engine and Performance

The Octavia RS will come with a more powerful engine than the standard model. In international markets, it is available with a 2.0-liter TSI engine that produces 265 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. This provides 15 kW more power than the previous version. The car is equipped with a 7-speed DSG transmission. With this engine, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds. The top speed is up to 250 km/h.

Safety and Connectivity

The Skoda Octavia RS features several advanced security features, including a fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Additionally, technologies like anonymous call recording are also available. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The Skoda Octavia RS will be launched in India on October 17th. It will be available as an FBU (Fully Built Unit), so sales will be limited.
